One Man Auto Repair Shop Opens in West Longview

John Kornburst took his 15 years of auto repair experience and opened his own shop in West Longview, Washington. The name of the shop is K&K Auto Repair. The shop opened in mid-May.

Kornburst’s experience involves working as a repairman for a Chrysler Jeep Dodge facility. He also worked at another automotive shop in Castle Rock. After years of working for other people, he decided he wanted to be his own boss.

The unique take on his shop is that he is the only mechanic. He does not have any other employees. His wife manages the books and handles the marketing in addition to her fulltime job as the district manager for a retail store called Things Remembered.

Kornburst is able to do oil changes and engine repair on most types of vehicles. He will see customers Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. K&K Auto Repair also works on Saturdays by appointment. Customers can rely on the shop’s fair pricing structure at $75 per hour plus parts.
